Friday Fill-In #107

1. Enough with the freakin’ cold!

2. Talk radio causes me to be conflicted. (How much can I worry about the economy?)

3. I’ve been craving something lemon-y.

4. My children makes me laugh.

5. I wish I could go to Puerto Rico next week.

6. Some people I know with cancer has have been on my mind lately.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to packing gear into the club at negative temperatures, tomorrow my plans include billing day and a gig in Bangor, and Sunday, I want to book that trip to Puerto Rico!

Friday Fill In #106

1. It’s January; just a few more weeks, and I can get the scooter back out.

2. More sleep is what I crave most right now.

3. Cork and wine go together like Mickey Mouse and fish sticks.

4. Cocoa butter and body yogurt is so nourishing (to my skin).

5. Let us dare to run naked in the streets. (Not really, but it’s the first thing I thought of.)

6. It’s only a matter of time before I sell my home.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to an evening home with my family, tomorrow my plans include a recording session, and Sunday, I want to just kick back and chill a little!

Friday Fill In #105

Janet hosts the Friday Fill. She’s been reporting for several weeks that her father has been in ill health. She reported this morning that he passed away last night. How about sending up a prayer for Janet and her family?

1. The world is often a cold and hard place.

2. “It does not fix the underlying problem” was the last thing I said.

3. I wonder about my future home buying adventure.

4. “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” is at the end of all things.

5. There’s something to be said for living in a country as great as the USA.

6. On a tropical beach with Susan (and without kids) is where I want to be.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to getting home relatively early from my gig, tomorrow my plans include not gigging (yeah!) and Sunday, I want to have an awesome Sunday School lesson planned!

1. I must travel abroad more before I die.

2. You can’t stop a bull moose with your car.

3. I wish I never had to buy diapers again.

4. My Fathers has have helped me change my life.

5. I know the song Happy Birthday by heart.

6. If I weren’t so afraid, I would put on some red longjohns and a mask, and turn myself into a superhero.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to getting home from my gig, tomorrow my plans include another gig, and Sunday, I want to not play any gigs!

Friday Fill-In #103

Fill in the lyrics…with the correct ones or ones of your own 🙂 Have fun with this, don’t worry if you don’t know ’em…just make up something silly or do a silly one and a serious one! The most important part is to have fun with it.

2. The first Noel, the angel did say, “My Tom-Tom isn’t working. Anyone know the way to Bethlehem?
3. There’s this brown stuff oozing, Over the hills and everywhere.
4. It came upon the midnight clear, dropped 14″ of snow, and all the Mainers had to shovel out the next morning.
5. Just realize that in a few days, the days will start getting longer, so, Let your heart be light.
6. And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing in the shower.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to playing Santa at the Salvation Army Christmas party, tomorrow my plans include an early gig (6-10pm) and Sunday, I want to get my afternoon gig out of the way before the storm hits! (I don’t think that’s going to happen.)

Friday Fill In #102

1. Friends are precious. (And good ones are precious and few.)

2. Forget about health; it’s overrated.

3. I’m ready for scooter season.

4. Grey Flannel is one of my favorite perfumes or aftershaves or smells.

5. The oldest ornament I have is one from the ’50s, I would guess. (It’s one I loved as a child, and my grandmother gave it to me a few years ago. It holds the place of honor on our tree.)

6. Take some ice and snow, mix it all together and you have a recipe for low attendance at your company Christmas party.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to a night home alone with Susan (who’ll be recovering from carpal tunnel surgery), tomorrow my plans include a gig in Bangor, and Sunday, I want to crash in the afternoon after about six hours of church services!

Friday Fill In #100

1. My stomach is empty right now, and I’d like to put something in it.
2. Ma’s sausage stuffing is what I ate the most of on Thursday.
3. The yard is in rough shape, needs another raking, and needs the toys put away (again!).
4. Snuggling with Susan is where I’d rather be at any given time.
5. The smell of Grey Flannel reminds me of a Shawn Colvin concert I attended with Susan.
6. Lunch is what I need right now!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to an early gig (done at 12am), tomorrow my plans include going to the Festival of Lights parade and Sunday, I want to attend a bachelor party!

Friday Fill In #98

2. When I kiss my wife’s neck I can’t help sniffing it occasionally.
3. My favorite thing to cook is breakfast. (Anything dealing with breakfast, and I think I can turn it out pretty well! Ask me about last Saturday’s roast beef hash!)
4. Susan is something I can’t get enough of.
5. That’s the thing I love most about cupcakes and squirrels. (I must admit, I don’t think I understand this one…)
6. Drivers who pass me when I’m 6th in a line of traffic always makes me think to myself, “What the heck?” (“Just how far ahead do they think they’re gonna get? Seconds?”)
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to opening night in the pit of “Annie Get Your Gun,” tomorrow my plans include a big breakfast (see #3) and a gig in Portland, and Sunday, I want to relax at home!
