On Saturday, the kids and I went to the Owls Head Transportaion Museum. Not only was there free admission, but there was a workshop where the kids could build their own Styrofoam glider. We had a great time, and I took some photos. I took Susan’s new Pentax digital SLR. The LCD screen looks much different that how the photos actually come out. On the screen, the photos with a flash looked very over exposed. So I shut the flash off. Then, they looked ok on the LCD. When I got home to the computer, though, it was exactly the opposite. The photos with the flash looked fine (although there were harsh shadows), and the ones without flast were under exposed. Ah well, it’s a sophisticated camera, and will take some time to learn. Maybe I should read the manual!

I never rely on whether or not the photo will come out ok. I shut of my review so I don’t see. AND, I always take about 3 pictures of each thing I’m interested in, that’s why I end up with so many pictures in each folder. I then choose the best out of the three to publish :o) It wasn’t always like that, but I’ve only had my DSLR since October, and I’m still learning all of the tricks with it, and am still trying to get comfortable with it.
