Friday Fill In #151

Haven’t posted in some time. Facebook is the new blog. It’s much easier to log in and post two sentences than to come here and have to think more. Anyway, here’s something a little fresh at least.

1. We need to finish moving stuff out of the old house.
2. Matthew used the word “seriously,” and it made me smile.
3. If you want some Fillet Mignon, don’t stop by my house tonight. (There isn’t enough to go around!)
4. We’re eating Fillet Mignon because got a great deal on whole beef tenderloin earlier this year.
5. Massachusetts has a proposed 5% sales tax on elective cosmetic surgery; I think the government gets enough of our money. (Maybe they should learn to live within their means like the rest of do!)
6. Finding that perfect gift for a special somebody makes for a happy holiday.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to grilling Fillet Mignon for Susan, tomorrow my plans include cleaning the old Salvation Army quarters, and Sunday, I want to do something fun!

Friday Fill-In #146

1. So are we going to be able to buy a “new” car with the proceeds of our house sale? (Guess we won’t know ’til the house sells!)

2. A busier than normal weekend is what’s up ahead.

3. I love to make breakfast for my family on the weekends. (Unfortunately, it’s won’t be happening this weekend; everyone’s too busy!)

4. I’ve been known to have a crazy dream of some sort.

5. I walk a line, walk like an Egyptian, do the walk of life, walk all over your, sleepwalk, and put cold oil in my hot wok so my food won’t stick .

6. Milk is the true elixir of life!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to playing Joshua’s Tavern in Bruswick, tomorrow my plans include billing day and a gig in Bangor, and Sunday, I want to go to church in the AM for FRANTIC Sunday (Friends, Relatives, And Neighbors Together In Church) and then fall down exhausted!

Friday Fill In #145

1. Sweet dreams are what I want my children to have each night, and I pray the worries of their parents might go unheard.

2. Patience is one of those things that might not come easily to people– especially for me.

3. Silliness is something I fall into easilly.

4. I’ve got a bunch of gigs booked around the end of October; I’m afraid I won’t be partaking in many festivities this Halloween.

5. Outstanding or not, he’s the guy we need to deal with.

6. Some strong black coffee and someone looking to buy a great “starter house” is what I want right now!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to the ending of the work week, tomorrow my plans include attending my brother’s wedding,  and Sunday, I want to let my mind and spirit be refreshed!

Twin Security Measures

The boys were prentending this morning to be a security detail, protecting a princess, namely Julia. Julia, having just awoken from sleep, was not entirely on board with this. Matthew explained: “We’re here to protect you. No one will get you. Mommy won’t get you. Dad might, ’cause he’s Dad, and he likes to tease and tickle.” Thats right, Matt, I might!

Friday Fill In #144

1. I have a history of selling cymbals, and using the proceeds to buy cymbals.

2. How to gain friends and influence people is something I wish I knew.

3. I’m eating (or recently ate) some pasta for lunch. (I am very much looking forward to taking my beloved wife out to “our” restaurant tonight!)

4. Musicians spend a good deal of time on the road.

5. So that’s it, that’s the key to everything. (6 2/3?)

6. A few hours alone with your wife is better than nothing!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to a fantastic meal with a beautiful woman, tomorrow my plans include gigging in a tent in the rain–probably to no one, and Sunday, I want to do something out of the ordinary!
