Friday Fill In #144

1. I have a history of selling cymbals, and using the proceeds to buy cymbals.

2. How to gain friends and influence people is something I wish I knew.

3. I’m eating (or recently ate) some pasta for lunch. (I am very much looking forward to taking my beloved wife out to “our” restaurant tonight!)

4. Musicians spend a good deal of time on the road.

5. So that’s it, that’s the key to everything. (6 2/3?)

6. A few hours alone with your wife is better than nothing!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to a fantastic meal with a beautiful woman, tomorrow my plans include gigging in a tent in the rain–probably to no one, and Sunday, I want to do something out of the ordinary!

Friday Fill In #143

1. One week ago I stayed home sick from work; I’m almost entirely over that cough now.

2. I lived in a little town called Spruce Head when I was young.

3. Mama told me “If you’re too sick to go to school, you’re too sick to do anything else.”

4. One of the most “in love” couples I know is you and me, (Susan)!

5. Take your time and read the direction through at least once before attempting assembly.

6. If you’d move your slow 45mph camper trailer / aircraft carrier over into the slow lane, then I (and the rest of this line of traffic) will pass!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to playing a gig with Blind Al in Bangor, tomorrow my plans include playing a gig right here in Rockland, and Sunday, I want to get back to the regular lunch schedule at Mom’s!

Fall is Here!

I love fall, and fall is here! I can prove it! These fall related things all happened to me today.

1) I broke out the barn coat today
2) I also started wearing blazers again. It’s getting cool enough to warrant wearing a sport coat.
3) I thought about putting the earlaps in my scooter helmet.
4) I used my shave cream warmer.

Though it didn’t happen today, I’ve been craving apple cider all weekend. And last week, I had my first pumpkin donut. Hurray Autumn!
